Adding your email to your phone

Test the password first by signing in on a web browser.
iPhone: Settings, then Apps, then Mail, then Mail Accounts, then Add Account.
Android: open the Gmail app, tap your profile picture, then Add another account.
Choose your provider: Google, Outlook, Yahoo, or Other.
Enter any code that arrives by text. That is two-step verification and it is normal.

Remember

Nobody from your email provider will ever call and ask you to read out that code. That call is a scam, every time.
