FirstClick Digital Skills is led by its founder, Noel “Willie” Williams, MBA, a technology and operations leader with more than 25 years in banking, insurance and other regulated industries.

Noel “Willie” Williams, MBA
A career spent making technology work inside organizations that answer to regulators.
He is a former board director of a regulated financial-services company listed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE), where he chaired the board’s Technology Innovation Committee. He set up the committee’s charter and its working rhythm with management, and led board oversight of technology strategy, cybersecurity, AI readiness, business continuity, third-party risk and data protection, including obligations under Jamaica’s Data Protection Act, 2020.
Before returning to Jamaica he spent more than six years as Director of Technical Operations for a multi-site operator in Florida. He ran Microsoft 365 and Azure end to end, tightened identity and access security with multi-factor sign-in and emergency-access controls, built backups that are tested by restoring them, and put in place a data-protection framework with a register of service providers and impact assessments. He also led a statewide move to chip-card (EMV) payments that met the card industry’s PCI-DSS security standard and Florida’s fuel-dispenser rules, and managed a $2.6 million annual operating budget.
Before that came more than 25 years in Toronto with a major North American financial institution that has deep roots in Jamaica, the Caribbean and Latin America. As Manager of Operations and Technology he led a Salesforce rollout that lifted sales 9% in its first year, ran concurrent rollouts to more than 5,000 users nationwide, managed partnerships with Microsoft, Salesforce, Palo Alto Networks, Apple and Google, and helped build and test the disaster recovery and business continuity plan. Earlier, as a technical specialist, he consolidated seven finance centers into four, handled the technical integration of two acquisitions, and supported more than 3,500 employees across the country.
He holds a Global MBA from Rome Business School and Universidad Internacional de Valencia, and is preparing for the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) examination.
Why he built FirstClick
He kept seeing capable people held back
People who could not attach a document to a job application, could not tell whether a message was a scam, or put off a simple task because the website seemed built for someone else. Nothing was wrong with them. Nobody had shown them properly.
Too many courses made it harder
Many of the courses already out there move too fast, assume you know the words and are hard to find your way around. FirstClick was built to be the opposite: clear steps, everyday words and Jamaican examples, at your own pace.
Protecting people is his day job
His board oversight of cybersecurity and data protection, and years of running security in regulated businesses, shape how FirstClick runs: a second check on every sign-in, your details never sold, and lessons that teach you to spot the scams that circulate here.
Built to be affordable
Registration is J$3,500, paid once, with both Beginner levels included, and Beginner is free for members of registered charities, schools and churches that join as partners. Cost should not be the reason anyone gets left behind.
