— Why we built this
I have been the one who did not know
Most courses are written by people who forgot what it feels like not to know. They open with words nobody explains, and by the third screen you have quietly decided the problem is you. It is not. Nobody ever showed you, that is all.
There is a particular kind of quiet that fills a room when somebody is handed a laptop and does not know where to start. They nod. They say they will look at it later. They pass the phone to a child or a grandchild and say you do it for me. Then they stop asking, because asking twice feels worse than not knowing.
That is the part nobody builds for. Not the skill, the shame. A man who can run a shop for thirty years, keep every price in his head and know every customer by name, will tell you he is "not good with computers" as though it were a character flaw. It is not. He was never taught, and nobody ever slowed down long enough to teach him.
"Pass it here, let me do it for you" has probably stopped more Jamaicans from learning than any lack of ability ever did.
So we built the opposite. Every word explained the first time it appears. Steps for the phone actually in your hand, not a generic one. Examples from here, with the scams that really circulate and the forms people really fill out. No class to keep up with, no one watching, and any lesson can be repeated as many times as it takes.
And at the end, a certificate with your name on it. For a lot of the people we built this for, it is the first one they have ever earned.
"You know you have succeeded when you see the satisfaction on someone's face because they now know how to do it themselves. And then they do it."

Can you spot the scam?
Five messages, drawn from thirty-two. Some are real, some are scams. No account, no sign-up, and a different set every time you visit.
Habits that keep you safe
- “Hi, is this Kevin?” A friendly message from a number that is not in your contacts: do not reply. Block and delete.
- Dating sites. Never say that you are divorced, widowed or lonely on your profile. Scammers search for exactly that.
- Someone you met online. Do not move to WhatsApp until you have spoken to them on an ordinary phone call.
- Links from new contacts. Never tap a link from someone you have just met, by text or WhatsApp. It can copy your personal information.
- Banking details. Never share your bank details, card numbers or passwords with anyone online.
- Amazon. Amazon has no customer service on WhatsApp. Never tap a link in a message about your Amazon account. Sign in yourself, find the order and chat with them there, or call Amazon on 1-206-577-1364.
- “You won.” A real prize takes any tax out of the winnings. If you are asked to pay first, it is a scam.
- “Offshore partner” emails. Offers to share money from a lawsuit or an overseas account: report as spam and delete.
- Do not forward a scam. If you want to warn someone, send a screenshot, then delete the message and block the sender.
- “Microsoft calling about a virus.” Microsoft does not call or email you about a virus. Hang up or delete, and never let a caller control your computer.

Five kinds of people learn here

Never used a computer
Switching on, the mouse, the keyboard, saving your work, and finding it again.

Afraid of a computer
Worried you will press the wrong thing and break it, delete something, or look foolish. Nothing here can be broken, nobody is watching, and you can repeat any lesson as often as you like.

You live on your phone
Email setup, Wi-Fi that will not connect, screenshots, and keeping photos safe.

Worried about scams
Fake texts, prize calls, bank messages, and what to do if you have been caught.

Getting ready for work
Documents, spreadsheets, work email, and using AI tools properly.

— Your certificate
Proof that stands up at an interview

Finish every quiz in a level and the course completes by itself. Nobody can mark you complete by hand, which is what makes the certificate worth something.
- An employer checks it with a code, no account needed
- You decide who can check it, and you can switch checking off
- Nobody can search for your certificate by name

Employers training staff

Protected by law
We handle your information under Jamaica's Data Protection Act, 2020, and are registered with the Office of the Information Commissioner (OIC).
Never sold or shared
We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to anyone for marketing. Only our payment, hosting and email providers see what they must.
Yours to control
Ask for a copy, a correction or deletion at any time. Every sign-in has a second check: a code by email, or from the authenticator app we recommend.
Free for every charity, school and church in Jamaica
Registered charities, schools, churches and community groups get the whole Beginner level free for every member they enrol, with certificates, printed handouts and a trained person inside the organization. Not a draw, and no cap on numbers.
Questions people ask first
Do I need a computer?
No. Everything works on a phone. Some lessons cover computers, and you can read those and practice later.
Will this use up my data?
Very little. There are no heavy videos, and pages are built to load on a weak signal.
What if I am slow?
There is no clock and no class to keep up with. Stop any time, and your place is saved.
Is the certificate real?
Yes. It is issued when you pass every lesson in all three levels of a course, with those levels paid for, and an employer can confirm it with the certificate number you give them.
Can someone pay for me?
Yes. Family here or overseas can pay with a link, and employers, churches and schools can buy course codes.
— Why now
Let’s move forward together
The Prime Minister has said “Jamaica will become the Singapore of the Caribbean.” That future is built by people who are comfortable with the technology around them. It starts with us, one small step at a time. Read more →
